Graduate programmes ( Bachelor of Engineering)

The Candidates shall have secured a minimum of 45% of marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of second year Pre-University Examination or equivalent.

The candidates holding three-years Diploma in appropriate branch of Engineering conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka, or any other Diploma qualification considered equivalent thereto by Visvesvaraya Technological University, and who have secured not less than 50% of the total maximum marks in the final examination of the Diploma course are eligible for admission for the second year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch. courses in appropriate branch with study of two additional courses in mathematics if selected by the DTE. for admission.

The B.Sc. graduates are also considered eligible for admission to first year B.E./B.Tech course if they have secured a minimum of 45% of marks in the aggregate of subjects : PCM / PME / PMC.

The candidates belonging to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes and any other groups classified by the Govt. of Karnataka for such purpose from time to time shall be considered eligible for the admission if they have passed the qualifying examinations obtaining not less than 45% of marks.

The candidates other than those who have passed the examination of Pre-University Examination Board, or Engineering Diploma Examinations of the Board of Technical Education Karnataka, have to obtain eligibility Certificates for seeking admission to B.E. / B.Tech./B.Arch. degree course from V.T.U. Belgaum, directly or through the concerned Engineering College where admission is sought. The University will notify dates for the issue of Eligibility certificates from time to time.

Seats are filled as per the quota fixed by the Govt. of Karnataka from time to time.
