Generally, admission to S.C.T Institute of Technology is done on the basis of performance in the the Entrance Exam CET / COMED-K.

The other way to get admission in Engineering is through management quota(based on cet-karnataka /comedk/ entrance score/rank ).

Common Entrance Test or CET Karnataka is conducted for the purpose of admitting students to first year Courses in Engineering  in Karnataka.

Comedk is the test conducted parallel to CET-Karnataka by the private Medical, Dental and Engineering College Association (comedk)

Non Resident Indians (NRI) Admissions (NRI Quota):

NRI Students are allowed to take admission without cet the prescribed quota by the Karnataka State government/ Higher Education Ministry every year. Students from gulf countries like United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Dubai, Bahrain Iran comes under the quota as well.

PIO (Person of Indian Origin) CARD SCHEME

The Government of India has launched the "Persons of Indian Origin Card" scheme, which enables the holder to various economic, financial, educational and cultural benefits. The PIO card is available at Indian embassies, consulates and high commissions and at the Ministry of Home Affairs in New Delhi. The card costs $ 1000 and is valid for 20 years.
